Fall 2007 OSSISURB Registration information

General OSSISURB Information: The registration for all OSSISURB activities, including OSS, research, and independent study, will take place during the add period (8/30/07 through 9/13/07) of the fall semester.

Olin Self-Study (OSS):

Potential OSS topics offered by faculty members can be viewed at http://ossisurb.olin.edu/fac_oss.htm

The registration for OSS will take place during the add period (8/30/07 through 9/13/07) of the fall semester. All rising seniors will be required to take 4 credits of OSS during the senior year. Rising juniors can also consider taking 4 credits of OSS during their junior year. Students should register for an OSS by selecting the proper course number through https://sis.olin.edu <https://sis.olin.edu/> . The registration process has three steps:

1) completing an application form from OSSISURB (http://ossisurb.olin.edu <http://ossisurb.olin.edu/> ),

2) registering for the actual course and credits on https://sis.olin.edu <https://sis.olin.edu/> , and

3) delivering your completed HARD COPY application to the StAR Center no later than September 13, 2007.

After the add period, all sis.olin.edu data will be reconciled with the hard copy forms. Any sis.olin.edu registration that does not have a completed form will be dropped from the student record. If you have any questions regarding these three academic activities, please email ossisurb@lists.edu.

Research (R) and Independant Study (IS):

The registration for undergraduate research and independent study will take place during the add period (8/30/07 through 9/13/07) of the fall semester. Students should register for an Independent Study or Research Activity by selecting the proper course number through https://sis.olin.edu <https://sis.olin.edu/> . The registration process has three steps:

1) completing an application form from OSSISURB (http://ossisurb.olin.edu <http://ossisurb.olin.edu/> ),

2) registering for the actual course and credits on https://sis.olin.edu <https://sis.olin.edu/> , and
